Is the consultation really free?
Yes — completely free, in person, no deposit and no obligation. You get a dream-hair conversation, an honest assessment of your hair, a color match, and an exact quote.
Can I get a price for extensions over the phone?
Not for an install — the price depends on how much hair you need, the length and the color match, and that takes seeing your hair in person. The consultation is free with no obligation, and you leave with an itemized quote before anything is ordered. Move-up and removal rates are published on the pricing page.
How fast can I get extensions after the consultation?
From consult to install is about a week — often sooner. Your hair is ordered right after you say yes, and the install is scheduled as soon as it arrives.
What is the 30-day correction promise?
It's a limited 30-day correction promise for installation and supplied-hair defects: report an issue within 30 days of your install and covered labor, replacement hair and materials are free — even if the correction appointment lands later. Routine maintenance and damage caused by misuse or by aftercare not being followed are excluded. The full terms spell it out.
Which extension methods are offered?
Hand-tied wefts (her most popular method right now) and I-tip strands — those two only. Tape-ins are not offered. The method is matched to your hair at the consult.
Do you remove extensions another stylist put in?
Yes — hand-tied, I-tip and tape-in extensions, whoever installed them, for $10 for each started 15-minute interval. Tape-ins are removed but not installed, and K-tips are neither removed nor installed. How removal works.
Will extensions damage my hair?
Not when the right method is installed and maintained correctly on hair that's healthy enough to carry it. That health check happens honestly at the consultation — if extensions aren't right for you yet, you'll hear it.
I have fine or thinning hair. Are extensions safe for me?
Often, yes — as long as the method and the amount of hair are matched to what your own hair can carry. For fine hair Aprille often suggests I-tips, placed strand by strand so the weight is spread out, or just a few pieces where you need fullness. If extensions aren't a good idea for your hair right now, she'll tell you at the consultation.
How often is maintenance needed?
A move-up appointment roughly every 2 months as your natural hair grows. With good care, the extension hair itself is typically reusable across move-ups.
Can I still go to the beach or the gym with extensions?
Yes. Braid or tie your hair before you swim, rinse with fresh water afterwards, and brush before you wash. Occasional swimming is fine; if you swim several times a week, mention it at the consultation, because it changes how your hair and care routine are planned. Swimming, sweat and sun.
What kind of hair is used?
Premium hair from trusted, locked-in vendors — including Muse Extension Company, JZ Styles, The Hair Shop, and HER Hair Extensions for specialty matches. Quality of hair is the difference between extensions that last and extensions that disappoint.
My hair has highlights and lowlights. Can you match it?
Yes. Most hair isn't one solid color, so Aprille matches to your highs and lows and often blends more than one shade. The match happens in person at the free consultation, in good light, against your own hair. How color matching works.
Where do appointments happen?
At Aprille's private studio in Mission Valley, San Diego.
Do I need to pay a deposit for the consultation?
No. Consultations are always free. A deposit only comes up at the hair-order stage, if Aprille requires one: 50% of the combined quoted hair and installation charges, credited toward your total. Color services are excluded, and Aprille can waive it.
Can I see examples of previous work?
Yes — the gallery grows with every install, and before/after photos are captured with each client's explicit consent. Check the gallery page or ask at your consult.
